Teachers know any time they take students on a field trip to an Oregon college or university, it can be a life-changing experience — especially when students experience UO journalism professors and media pros leading eye-opening sessions as they do at Fall Press Day at University of Oregon.

Northwest Scholastic Press Association and the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication invite middle and high school journalists to Fall Press Day, a day of workshops, contests and panels on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014 at the Erb Memorial Union on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon.

Fall Press Day only happens once a year. Join other Oregon scholastic journalists and teachers for workshops, contests and panels and learn from the pros, exchange ideas, hear about the latest trends, and compete in state Write-Off and Best Of Show competitions.

Start planning to attend now by downloading the 2014 Fall Press Day Registration, getting permission from your principal to attend, making transporation arrangements, collecting funds, and returning the registration forms by Oct. 29.

The latest information is always posted first on the NWSP website. Subscribe using Email Update on our home page to be automatically notified when new content is available.

NWSP recently mailed the FPD flyer to schools across the state. More information will be in the mail soon.
